The company has published a video teaser of the upcoming launch of ADRENALIN SOFTWARE. Judging by the video, this driver will be concentrated on three functions: AMD Link, Privacy View and Radeon Super Resolution.
AMD Radeon Super Resolution is the latest spatial scaling technology based on FidelityFX Super Resolution. Previously, the company announced that RSR will be available in the first quarter of this year, and this promise will be fulfilled today.
AMD RSR works just like FSR, except that it does not require the integration of the developer, and instead works at the driver level for all supported games. This means that RSR will support more games (AMD declares thousands), but it also means that it will offer a slightly lower quality than FSR. This is due to the fact that RSR also scales the entire frame, including the user interface and the game menu, which can not always provide the best results.
In addition, RSR is not supported by all graphic processors (it is integrated into Radeon software, so the Intel / NVIDIA equipment simply cannot use it). The press release of tomorrow's launch RSR is also mentioned that the technology will only work with RADEON RX 5000 and newer graphics processors. Polaris / VEGA support for RSR will not at least at the moment.
About the remaining technologies will tell today the release of ADRENALIN Software will also include the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 Teaser (FSR 2.0). According to AMD, this technology will be released in the second quarter.
