- Mar 21
Almost a week after the cessation of the iPhone production at two Chinese plants due to blocking caused by COVID-19, the Apple supplier and the contract manufacturer Foxconn "basically" resumed the normal operation in its most important campuses in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.
Taiwan manufacturer Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., has a headquarters in China in Shenzhen, as well as a key production site in Guanklan. Now they both returned to the production of the iPhone. Foxconn resumed work on a limited basis.
To reiterate an object, the company has fulfilled all government conditions, and also provided personnel with housing and work. In other words, the company created a "closed management cycle" system. A similar system was adopted for the Winter Olympic Games held in Beijing.
Apple's application statement states that "some operations managed to resume, and part of the production is in the implementation stage.
Sources confirmed that the closure of plants due to the new outbreak of COVID-19 caused delays with delivery, and the logistics difficulties made it difficult to deliver products to customers around the world.
