The new 12-inch railway monitor came out in the TRANSPORTATION MONITOR product line, manufactured by Axiomtek. The P712 monitor is designed for installation on board the rolling stock of rail transport, it has been certified for compliance with the standards EN 50155 and EN 45545. P712 operates at negative temperatures and connects to the sources of direct current by voltage 24 ~ 110 volts. The P710 series models are designed to replace the P6100Y series monitors that will be removed from production.

P712 is equipped with a 12-inch display with a matrix resolution of 1024 x 768 points. The size of the housing and the layout model is practically no different from its predecessor P6125. However, P712 is assembled on the basis of a new generation matrix with an increased pixel size, which allowed in previous dimensions to get the screen of a larger working area.

The front panel of the monitor is made of 6 mm thick aluminum sheet, and the rear and side surfaces are made of steel. Five buttons are placed on the front panel (on and on-screen menu). On the back of the housing panel there are holes for VESA-mount screws. External connections are located on the bottom panel. This (left to right): Power supply, RS-232, VGA, HDMI, DVI-D, linear audio input.

The serial interface, in addition to the traditional role of transmission of the screen sensor, can also be used to control the brightness of the display backlight.

Like the previous model, P712 is equipped with two 2-watt speakers, which are installed on the side surfaces of the case.

The power of the monitor is carried out from the on-board network of the DC voltage of 24 ~ 110 volts. Power input connector has a threaded fixation.
