A5500 is a video card for desktop workstations equipped with a GA102 and 10240 CUDA graphics processor. This configuration corresponds to the RTX 3080 TI game graphics processor specifications, but there is a very important change: the workstation model is equipped with the GDDR6 memory with EEC, while the game graphics processor supports GDDR6X. NVIDIA has not confirmed accurate characteristics such as clock frequency or TDP for this SKU.
In addition, NVIDIA presents six new graphics processors for workstations for laptops, including the flagship model RTX A5500 (for laptops), explicitly using GA103 graphics processor with 7424 cores and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. This once again confirms that NVIDIA restarts RTX 3080 Ti for desktop PCs and laptops, but for workstations.
Among the new products - RTX A500, the slowest graphics processor for AMPERE laptops, released today, with 2048 CUDA cores and only 4 GB of memory. Other models, such as A1000, A2000 and A3000, will have 4 GB, 8 GB and 12 GB, respectively, while the RTX A4500 will use 16 GB of memory and the cut-off GA104 graphics processor with 5888 CUDA cores.
