Aaeon announced the release of a compact computer based on its own PICO-TGU4 processor boards. Boards use 15-watt Tiger Lake processors of the built-in class and is designed for decisions in EDGE AI, robotics, industrial automation, and for installation on the drone. As with the previous models of the semi series, the case is made in a compact style. The minimalist approach in which the housing is actually a cover for the board, allowed to create a computer with dimensions of 122 x 81 x 50 mm.
Pico-TGU4-SEMI computer case is collected from aluminum and steel parts. Standard thermal pump used in the processor computer is 15 W, and, given the small size of the device, the developers decided to apply active cooling. The upper cover is adjacent to the processor, equipped with ribs to increase the surface area, and the fan is installed in the center.
The computer will be released in several modifications that will differ in the model of the processor board, on the basis of which they are collected. RAM chips are displetened during production, depending on the modification, the amount of memory is from 4 to 8 GB. A computer can use M.2 SSD and MSATA SSD as drives for hosting software and data. Installing SATA DOM and, moreover, 2.5 '' SATA devices, minimalist housing layout does not provide. An expansion card is used to install the MINI PCIE slot.
