One of the American retailers has already sent orders for Core I9-12900Ks to the official embargo for sale. The photos you see below belong to Daginatsuko, which managed to buy a processor before the offer was rejected. From what we learned, this is the first batch of I9-12900KS processors with the OPN Srldd code, which still support the AVX-512 instructions (Intel confirmed that in the future they will be combined).
If you are interested, how much it cost this processor - before it was deleted, the list of this processor cost about 790 US dollars.
Core i9-12900KS is a pre-assembled 16-nuclear and 24-flow SKU with a maximum increase in the frequency of one nucleus to 5.5 GHz. Intel actively teased this processor with CES 2022, but we have not yet seen any confirmation of the launch date. Now that Ryzen 7 5800x3D officially comes out on April 20, it can be assumed that 12900ks will also come out very soon.
The CPU increased the basic clock frequency of Performance cores to 3.4 GHz (+200 MHz) and increased to 5.5 GHz (+300 MHz). In addition, it comes with a higher PBP / MTP (basic and maximum power) to 150 W (+25 W) and 260 watts (+19 W), respectively.
