In March of this year, the Ural locomotive plant presented the project of the electric locomotive 3ES8 "Malachite". The asynchronous engine installed in it will become the basis for a series of locomotives. "Malachite" is characterized by improved characteristics, and most importantly - all the details will be produced in the Russian Federation.

Malachite is the first electric locomotive of Russian production. Experts argue that this is the beginning of a new era in creating railway transport. The electric motor with adjustment of thrust on both axes is the development of two Russian factories.
