Wildberries employees unsuccessfully carried out theft of RTX 3070 Ti video cards
- Mar 21
Employees of the Russian company Wildberries tried to steal entire twenty GEFORCE RTX 3070 TI video cards from a warehouse. This attempt was crowned with success, however, as soon as they tried to sell these cards, everything became much more difficult.
Video cards are currently the subject of luxury from us, after AMD and NVIDIA entered the embargo on the supply of products. This means that it is impossible to buy a new video card soon in Russia, when all warehouses are devastated (or by customers or employees themselves).
At least three employees decided to benefit from the situation, sting, and then quickly retrying the cards in the local Lombard. Here the case went awry, because the owner of the pawnshop, curious, why someone brings new video cards there, contacted the authorities.
Each video card cost 200 thousand rubles, that is, about 1931 US dollars. This means that they were trying to sell for 38 thousand US dollars. It is reported that video cards were confiscated and returned, and all suspects are detained.
