A good indicator that AMD is preparing a new graphic architecture, there has always been a trace of the development of an open source project. In most cases, these are Linux drivers or development tools that are subsequently used on new equipment. In this case, we have an AMD that adds four new GFX11 graphics processor identifiers added to the LLVM project, which is a set of compiler tools for various programming languages.
AMD prepares at least four new identifiers: GFX1100, GFX1101, GFX1102, GFX1103. In the past, some identifiers have been common to graphic processors, but over the past few years it has changed, and now each graphic processor usually receives its own identifier. Basically, because they make changes to the design that do not allow the use of the same sets of tools or preinstalled values. This will be especially important when AMD releases its NAVI 31 and NAVI 32 graphic processors with two chipsets. Presumably these two are included in this patch:
AMD Phoenix on the architecture of RDNA3?
In addition, it is expected that among these new devices there will be NAVI 33 (GFX1102) and Phoenix APU (GFX1103). It will also confirm the rumors that Phoenix can really have a RDNA3 graphics. In other words, laptops of the Ryzen 7000 series, which can be launched at the beginning of next year (possibly near CES 2023), will already be delivered with new architecture a few months after AMD (we hope) will present its table graphic processors.
And by the way, apparently, AMD confirmed with other corrections that the GFX1103 is really APU. This does not confirm Phoenix, but, according to the author, there are not many other devices that could comply with these specifications:
