AMD Ryzen Engineering Sample Leakage 7000 Raphael Zen 4 with 8 cores
- Apr 20
Perhaps the engineering sample AMD Ryzen 7000 "Raphael" with 8 new Zen 4 cores
Source (Benchmark) Milkyway @ Home Previously (in January 2022) has already provided information about two processors (8 cores and 16 cores), which Benchleaks could identify as AMD Raphael ES processors. Now the information about the new chip with the identifier of the model "100-000000514-03_n" was leaked.
According to Benchleaks, it is similar to the RapHael or AMD Ryzen 7000 processor with the corresponding identifier of the production model (the previous one was 96). The leader also declares that it may well be a stepping (product version number) B1 Raphael, and why it appeared only now, it may be due to the fact that Zen 4 processors should have started mass production this month. The processor is part of the authentic AMD 25 Model 97 Stepping 1 / A60F11 family.
In addition, as in previous leaks, this new AMD Ryzen 7000 ES processor also has a 1024 KB cache, which is twice the volume specified for AMD Ryzen 7 5800x (512 KB) specified in the same database. This is a L2 cache on the kernel, and it seems that AMD doubled it for its future Zen chips 4. The recent layout of the Zen 4 crystal did indicated 1 MB of L2 cache, divided between the "priority" and "backup" nuclei.
Expected AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor features for desktop PCs:
According to the last rumors, it is expected that AMD will present its Ryzen 7000 desktop processors and the X670 platform at Computex by the end of May 2022, but the official launch is scheduled to begin the third quarter of 2022.
