Gazprom overturned the rules of the game the company emerged from the assets of its German daughter Gazprom Germania
- Apr 10
On March 31, Gazprom took an official decision on the withdrawal of assets from his subsidiary Gazprom Germania. At the same time, from the point of view of legal norms, the Russian gas monopolist had all the grounds. What is fraught with for Europe this solution will look more.
Russia put forward the conditions for the purchase of gas by European countries for rubles. Many European countries, including Germany, reacted to the statements of the Russian authorities skeptically. It seems that German civil servants do not know that Gazprom Germania is a fully subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom. They continue, as if nothing had happened, to conclude contracts with her in the euro and dollars. However, the company in Germany is only a diversified Gazprom GroMania Group conglomerate. It consists of 40 companies leading their activities in more than 20 countries of Europe, Asia and North America. But the main and sole founder of the conglomerate is PJSC Gazprom.
"Leaving" its assets in Germany, Gazprom deprived European consumers of all privileges for the purchase of gas. In other words, now Russian gas will be sold under general conditions to countries that are indicated as "unfriendly".
The release of a large-scale Russian IT startup Sfera is getting closer. The project team tests and grinds all components of the intellectual ecosystem and is still open to cooperation with investors. Read more about Sfera here.
It should be noted that the Europeans debugged the legal system of interaction with energy consumers. All participants in this system must have been to the EU. If not entirely, then, at least, their subsidiaries. Such a "daughter" was Gazprom Germania, Gazprom Marketing and Trading Limited, Wingas. We have already published an article on our channel.
European Deltsi sought to create a paradoxical model of legal relationships in which the buyer dictates the terms of the seller. It was unacceptable. All decisions were discussed at Gazprom headquarters, then contracts subscribed already in subsidiaries.
After the release of the energy boil from the European territory, it becomes obvious that Europe in pursuit of infinite power in the legal field reached himself. Gazprom quite fairly and timely "chopped the ends", since the German authorities threatened to nationalize subsidiaries.
Now the system, which is decades, bricks behind the brick, built in Europe, collapsed overnight. In the future, European buyers will be forced to come to Russia and enter into a contract with Gazprom on Russian legislation. In addition, in rubles. How will it look like? Let's tell later.
Many have already heard that Germany was allowed to pay for gas in euros or dollars, lizing the currency to Gazprom's accounts, which converted them to the ruble. Most accepted this information for Russia's weakness, deciding that she could not stand the glow of passions and went on concessions to Europe. But it is not. In response to the fact that Russian accounts abroad were illegally frozen, the authorities have developed a new gas export system.
From now on, the gas will come to Europe from the moment when the payment goes into Russian accounts and will be translated into rubles. Previously, most of this amount remained in the overseas accounts of Gazprom in euros or dollars. Now all means will be located within the country, which will significantly strengthen the ruble.
A similar situation also occurred with the German "daughter" Rosneft Rosneft Deutschland.
And what do you think, does this mean that the export of the Russian oil industry in the near future will go to rubles? And if the ruble is strengthened, and imported goods will become cheap, will this not cause damage to the domestic manufacturer?
