Intel clearly wants to share news about his future new architecture called Meteor Lake.
Pat Gelsinger, after an announcement of income for the first quarter, confirmed that Meteor Lake is loaded in three operating systems:
The inclusion process does not guarantee immediate start. Intel Ponte Vecchio, which was launched in January 2021, and only now began the process of sampling for customers. For Meteor Lake, the launch is scheduled for 2023.
This new series of processors will be the first consumer architecture with a mosaic approach to the design of the chip. It will be built using Intel Foveros technology and is based on the architecture of Intel 4 processes for computing tiles.
Meteor Lake will have up to 192 graphic executive blocks, which is twice the number of Alder Lake/Raptor Lake graphics processor nuclei. Intel did not confirm how many processor nuclei will support Meteor Lake, but it was confirmed that it would work in a power range from 5 to 125 watts. Thus, Meteor Lake debuts on low -power laptops, as well as on powerful desktop consumer systems.
