NVIDIA RTX ADA GA102:
Insider Kopite "supposedly" has new information about the flagship graphics processor NVIDIA RTX next generation. It is interesting that it is no longer a fact that the upcoming series of graphic processors "ADA" is actually called RTX 40. The leader now calls them ** 90 / ** 80, etc.
In any case, Kopite7kimi has updated its message placed on a primary joke, as noted at that time, it was not confirmed and, probably, like now. This new message suggests that the GPU class 4080 with the SKU 330 can actually be used for the 4090 series.
More importantly, the memory characteristics have been reduced from 24 Gbps to 21 Gb / s, which actually corresponds to the RTX 3090 Ti speed. This future SKU will have a TDP 600 W. Probably, therefore, some rumors suggest that the RTX 3090 TI released is a test machine for a series of graphic processors of the next generation.
It is worth noting that with the sharing of NVIDIA PG137, PG139 or PG141 boards, this leak is significantly strengthened by trust. In fact, this is what we can check later when approaching the launch.
AMD Navi 31 (RADEON RX 7900XT with 7 chipstones):
AMD returned to monolithic structures with the NAVI graphics processor 21 after a slightly less successful attempts to compete in high-performance graphic processors with complex and expensive HBM graphics processors, such as Fiji 10 and Vega 10/12.
But the sources are not sure what the MCD chipset is intended for, but rumors have long walked for a long time that this is a crystal of a memory complex. Therefore, it may be a place where Infinity Cache or memory controllers are located. Not quite confirmed whether these MCD chipsets will be located over GDC (graphic complex crystals) or elsewhere on the package.
In total, 7 chiplots made according to 6-nm or 5-nm TSMC technical process are expected in the NAVI 31 graphics processor.
Intel Arc B-Series (Battlemage):
Some time ago, thanks to the test driver Intel, which the company has randomly published, we learned that the company is working on the next-generation XE-HPG architecture called Battlemage, which is called Elasti. In one of the listed configurations, "ELG_X4" is mentioned, which implies the four-element configuration of the next generation graphics processor.
At the moment, we do not know the specifications of Battlemage or how it will compete with AMD and NVIDIA, but the company officially confirmed that it will aim at a higher level of "Enthusiast" in the graphics processor market, and later "Celestial" will follow. higher than the "ultra enthusiasts" segment. Battlemage will not be launched until 2023/2024, but there is a chance that it will be available, since RTX 4090 and RX 7900XT are still on the market.
According to the analysis of available data carried out by Redfire, the potential configuration of Battlemage from 4 tiles can have a total of 40 XE-CORE and 320 XE-Vector Engines for each tile. This means that configuration with 4 tiles will have 1280 vector processors (also known as executive blocks), which mainly means 20480 FP32 cores. Obviously, we do not know whether "ELG_X4" really refers to the tile configuration and is it planned to be such a part. However, purely for reflection, it will really create an interesting Intel competition in the High-End segment.
