The keyboard is one of the most practical Apple Watch Series 7 innovations - not surprisingly, because there are not so many new features. If you are familiar with this keyboard, you probably think about FlickType, Apple Watch application, whose work suspiciously resembles a new Apple keyboard. According to The Verge report, Apple developer commands were delighted with FlickType, especially since the keyboard was able to limit the number of errors when entering the text thanks to the gestures, despite the small Apple Watch display.

The message that the developer received from Apple shortly thereafter, had a completely different content: Apple apparently decided to change the rules in the App Store and prohibit keyboards - only to throw away FlickType from the store. In the high-tech industry, the copying of competitors' functions is not something unusual, but the procedure in this case is especially aggressive, so the Flicktype developer, Costa Eleftheri, has since become a sharp critic of Apple.

According to Apple, the removal of flicktype from the store was a mistake that was quickly fixed, but the developer had to fight for the return of FlickType to the store, while at the same time leading negotiations with Apple to sell the application. And this is despite the fact that comparable applications were still offered in the store.

The developer believes that Apple wanted to use this approach to reduce the purchase price of Flicktype, at the same time he suffered financial losses, because after the application returned to the store in January 2020, its sales amounted to $ 130,000, in just one Month after creation. For this reason, in March, he filed a claim that seems more justified than ever after launching Apple Watch Series 7.
