Apple will use chips made according to the 3-nm TSMC Tech Process, in 2023. Apple chips based on the 3-nm TSMC technical process will be used for iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. What users can expect is to increase productivity and increase battery life due to less energy intensive nature of chips. There are rumors that Apple M3 chips for Mac contain up to four crystals, which allows to use up to 40 processor cores. On the contrary, the M1 chip has only an 8-core processor, and M1 Pro and M1Max chips have a 10-core processor.
