AMD introduced protected Ryzen Pro 6000 processors for laptops
- May 12
The AMD mobile processor family immediately replenished 11 new products of the Ryzen Pro line. They are focused on laptops for professionals and business, but they are suitable for home users, not inferior to consumer models in terms of performance.
Technically, the Pro series chips duplicate “home” solutions, but differ from them with an expanded set of instructions in demand in the business segment. Such CPU integrates security functions that can protect data from hacker attacks and prevent information leakage by encryption in the case of the theft of a PC.
The Ryzen Pro 6000 family (Zen 3+ architecture) included two energy-efficient U-series models with a 28 W heat package and six representatives of productive series H and HS (45/35 W, respectively). The flagship of the line was the eight -core Ryzen 9 Pro 6950H with 16 streams of execution and the maximum clock frequency of 4.9 GHz. In addition, AMD introduced a more affordable Ryzen 5 Pro X75U series (7 Nm, Zen3 architecture, Radeon Vega graphics).
According to the company, the new items provide the best time from the battery compared to predecessors. So, for laptops based on Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U, the declared autonomy is up to 29 hours in the video reproduction mode on the built -in graphics. In addition, AMD reports an increase in performance by 50% for models with tdp 15 watts setting and up to 110% at 28 watts.
Business class laptops with Ryzen Pro 6000 and Ryzen 5 Pro X75U processors will appear on sale “in the coming weeks”, but the exact date of the release of new products has not yet been announced.
