MSRP (recommended retail price of the manufacturer) is gradually becoming the norm, says the source of Hardwareunboxed news, which published its last report based on the current prices of one of the largest retail sellers of the USA, NewGG. While both brands observe the same change in prices within one month (decrease by 6–8%), the AMD offer is now almost at the level of the recommended retail price.
The average price of the Radeon RX 6000 cards is now 5% higher than the recommended retail price, and some cards are now even sold at a price below the recommended retail price (RX 6900XT/6600XT/6500XT). It is interesting that if it were not for the RX 6800 model, the average price inflation would be only 2.4% for the entire series, and 0.1%, if the RX 6800XT was also not turned on.
Although the monthly prices for the GeForce RTX 30 cards also decreased, on average by 6%, the retail price recommended by the manufacturer for NVIDIA cards is still 24% higher for all stacks. As noted yesterday, Nvidia clearly has problems with graphic processors of medium and low levels. The rapidly decreasing price for graphic processors forces NVIDIA to release a new model called NVIDIA GTX 1630.
It should be expected that Nvidia will soon change its tactics, which will immediately affect the price. This is especially important, given that before the release of the GeForce RTX 40, only 2 months are left, according to many leaks from the Internet.
