AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 the first data on professional HEDT processors
- May 10
AMD never admitted that she intends to continue to release her Hedt series in the future. However, the recent rumors from the Moore’s Law Is Dead insider suggest that Threadripper will not go anywhere.
At the moment, it remains a mystery whether AMD has plans to continue to produce workstations. Despite the official launch of the Threadripper Pro 5000 series in March, it is still difficult to find a new series under the code name Chagall Pro. But this is a series of workstations, and AMD does not make any statements about the non-PRO HEDT processors for enthusiasts.
New information from Mlid indicates that Threadripper Pro with the Zen4 architecture is already in the new internal road map, but again, it remains to be confirmed whether the series that are different from Pro will appear. More importantly, Threadripper 7000 will increase the number of nuclei to 96, which is 50% more than that of the current series. AMD will probably re -use Genoa silicon, which is officially attached to the same number of nuclei.
In his usual manner, Mlid provided quotes from his sources. Given how accurate leaks from data processing centers and workstations are from this YouTuber, there is a high probability that this is true.
