The source of the information claims that all the X670, X670E and B650 chipsets will be announced on the Computex 2022, but this information has not yet been confirmed (although slightly obvious). At the moment, it is clearly confirmed that all three chipsets exist, and they should be announced at the same time (perhaps just on Computex planned next week).
The source claims that the X670E will be a special “extreme” version of the X670 chipset. From the fact that the source was able to confirm at the moment, the X670E will have mandatory support for the PCIe Express 5.0 for both the video card and for the storage. Meanwhile, the X670 chipset, different from E, will support the Gen4 standard, while Gen5 support is not mandatory for both devices. In addition, there is not a word about the differences of DDR5/DDR4. However, according to AMD plans, a more expensive DDR5 memory will be required regardless of the chipped chipset.
It is worth noting that Hassan Mujtab from WCCFTECH has already spread such a rumor. The information is clearly distributed among the technical press, which is probably a good indicator that it is true:
It is also confirmed that the set of X670 chips includes two sets of the ASMedia Promontory 21 production (this has already been confirmed by Tom's Hardware a month ago).
