DFI has released an EC500-CS flawless computer, which is designed to install 35-watt 8 and 9 generation desktop processors. The novelty, in general, is an updated version of the previously produced EC500-SD computer, which worked with the built-in processors of the 6th generation (Skylake). The desktop class processor allows you to launch resource-intensive applications for analysis and data encryption, video demonstration, machine vision on the EC500-CS.

The computer is assembled in a flat case made of aluminum and steel parts that can be installed on the wall. The use of processors with a 35-watt heat packet and a passive cooling circuit forced the manufacturer to supply the case with a massive lid-radiator with large ribs. The standard model will be equipped with a Core i5-8500T processor and will be able to operate at temperatures from -20 to +70 degrees. The processor for work will require the DDR4-2666 RAM in the SODIMM form factor. The maximum memory is 64 GB. Two 2.5-inch SATA drives and one M.2 SSD can be used as disk drives. The PCI Express tire control and the exchanging with peripheral devices are engaged in a separate PCH chip. Depending on the modification, it can be H310, Q370 and C263. In the last two cases, the PCH can be created on the basis of the 0/1 RAID massive. Expansion boards are in three slots M.2 (E2230, M2280, B3052).

On the front panel of the case are located: the power button, the nest of the remote button, two nests of the USB 2.0, 4 COM port, the discrete interface connector. There are two more COM ports on the rear panel, 4 USB tire nests, two Gigabit Ethernet copper ports, HDMI and VGA video interfaces, as well as a power input connector and audio card connectors.

Computer power is carried out from an external DC source with a voltage of 9 ~ 36 volts.
