Diamond of the Russian economy AlmazAntey concern launched the production of additive equipment as part of diversification
- May 05
The Russian industry giant "Almaz-Antei" announced the start of the production of sand 3D printers. The novelty is an extraordinary decision for the leader of the military industry. What is due to the launch of a new production and where new equipment will be used, we will consider in more detail.
The integrated enterprise of the Almaz-Antey concern, Obukhovsky Plant, expands the line of production of civilian products. We are talking about the release of sand 3D printers, which will be used to lay down sand forms and other products of complex casting. All technical elements of domestic production.
The production of atomizers will also be established. Thanks to them, there will be the opportunity to complete import substitution of foreign analogues. Using an atomizer, various metal objects and alloys are processed into powder.
On the new 3D printers, the Obukhov plant already has customers with whom the contract has been signed. The supply of new cars will begin at the end of this year.
A large-scale startup in the SFERA IT industry enters the finish line. Before the release, the project collects registration applications. Once the first users and test a new digital ecosystem! Read more about the project on the site.
The composition of the "Concern" Almaz-Antei "concern includes more than 60 developed industrial production. Finished products are supplied to more than 50 countries of the world. The holding of the holding is about 130 thousand specialists.
As mentioned above, the concern is mostly focused on the development of defense technologies. In addition to sand 3D printers, 3D-printers of the Helios type are already produced at a metallurgical plant in St. Petersburg. They are intended for the field of education. These devices, for example, were already equipped with schools in St. Petersburg.
The plant also produces a high -temperature additive installation of the Laren type. Thanks to it, you can produce structural elements from thermoplastic materials.
The concern plans to design and release its own electric car. But a couple of years ago it was difficult to imagine that one of the leaders of the domestic defense industrial complex would begin to produce 3D printers.
Do you think the defense concern is able to establish civilian production in the coming years? How successful this venture can be successful? Or is it better to continue to engage in the military industry, and leave the release of civilian products to the relevant enterprises?
