Honest Sign works the system operator found violations in the shoe industry for 25 billion rubles for April 2022
- May 20
More than a million violations in the traffic market of Russia were identified only in April of this year thanks to the work of the Electronic marking system “Honest Sign”. We are talking about goods totaling 2.5 billion rubles. How an “honest sign” works and how effective this system actually is, read in our material.
According to the Center for the Development of Promising Technologies (Honest Sign Operator), about 12,400 companies tried to trade shoe goods with violations - this is 13% of the total number of shoes in the country.
The bulk of the violations was associated with incorrectly designed or generally invalid certificates of conformity. In addition, they often tried to sell counterfeit shoes to buyers. In this regard, Moscow - 455 thousand violations in this regard. In second place in the suburbs - 94 thousand. He transferred all the data on the violators of the Central Department Store to the relevant control authorities, and there they will already decide whether it is worth starting things. But if it reaches administrative protocols, the amount of fines may amount to 1 billion rubles.
For the first quarter of 2022, the Central Bank counted violations of 5.8 billion rubles made by 17% of companies. It would be impossible to identify such a large volume without a global automated control system. “Honest sign” is just such a system. How does it work?
For each product produced by the manufacturer, an individual code is generated. It is unique and protected by crypto -shifting. Then it is converted into the bar code of the Datamatrix standard (outwardly similar to QR codes) and applied to the goods. Further, this barcode is scanned at each stage of the logistics chain: during transportation, loading to the warehouse, unloading from the warehouse, upon arrival at the store and, finally, at the checkout. The system in real time tracks the movement of the goods: where it was taken, where, in what conditions and how long it was stored. This is especially important for food and medicine. When the goods are sold, the code becomes inactive. If the “honest sign” code does not correspond to the standard barcode on the product, the sale is blocked.
The buyer himself can check the goods. It is enough to download the system application to the smartphone and scan the code, immediately receiving all the information: where and when produced, appearance, certificates, storage places, and so on.
Thus, the “honest sign” fights with the possible frauds of sellers: attempts to replace the goods, sell counterfeit or illiquidity, and does it instantly.
The ambitious IT project SFERA will soon open its resources for all users. While the developers are establishing all the components of the system, the collection of applications for registration is open. Who wants to know more about the project, follow the link.
The effect of the introduction of the system became obvious back in 2018. 2 years before, the government entered the mandatory marking of fur products as an experiment. Then the share of illegal turnover in this market segment was very great. And by December 2018, according to the Central Department Store, it was reduced to almost zero. At the same time, the volume of furs on the market jumped 13 times, and retail sales grew to all.
The experiment was recognized as successful, and to date, tobacco and alcohol, medicines, bottled water and dairy products, shoes and light industry, fur coats, perfumes, tires and tires, cameras and flashes to them require compulsory marking. And since 2024, marking should become widespread.
Nevertheless, the “honest sign” system still has many critics, especially in the media space. What do you think, how justified are their claims and why are the system in some circles perceive with hostility?
