Thus, all restaurants will be sold to local customers when banning the use of a logo, branding and corporate menu, but they will continue to monitor the protection of trademarks. It was previously expected that McDonald's would resume work in Russia through some Russian operator under a different name, because All products were supplied by 90% from Russian enterprises.

The president and chief executive director of the company, Chris Kempchinsky, added that "the company is proud of its employees, Russian suppliers and local franchisees," but noted that in the current conditions the company cannot conduct business in Russia.
In total, the network has about 850 points in Russia. Of these, about 250 - in Moscow. The Moscow City Hall promised to replace them in about six months or a year and is ready to allocate financing for new restaurateurs. About 35 restaurants will be sold in the Krasnodar Territory, including 8 - in Sochi.
In the first quarter of 2022, the company announced losses of hundreds of millions of dollars due to suspension of activities in Russia and writing off products of products. Profit decreased by 28% in this period compared to 2021. The loss from the complete termination of activities in Russia is estimated at 1.2-1.4 billion dollars in the USA.
