The Radio Research Institute will test the first Russian LTE base station on the operators network Preparations for negotiations on deliveries are underway
- May 10
In the Balashikha near Moscow, they are preparing for field tests of the first domestic 4G station. The equipment has already been checked in the laboratory and compliance with the standards of mobile operators. Read the details in our material.
The Radio Research Institute invented the LTE station operating in the range of 2.3-2.4 GHz. The development was carried out as part of the program for eliminating digital inequality. The station is intended to ensure the connection of state objects. The radius of the station coating in test mode is 3-4 kilometers.
The laboratory of infocommunication networks is also involved in the production. Its employees, together with the research specialists, conducted tests for compliance with the station with all 3GPP standards. This organization is developing technical requirements for mobile equipment. On tests, it was possible to achieve a transmission speed of 90 Mbps, which practically corresponds to the speed of wired home Internet.
With such a quick Internet, using the SFERA digital ecosystem will become even more convenient. This is a multifunctional application for communication, searching for friends, work, second halves and solving other important problems. Soon the exit of the updated version! Leave an application for registration here.
Presumably, tests will be held on the Tele2 network. At least, the developers requested a list of requirements for equipment from this company and Rostelecom. According to representatives of the Research Institute of Radio, "the equipment corresponds to most of the extensive list of requirements." Possible improvements are being discussed now and it is planned to move on to supply negotiations.
Of great interest is the cost of new equipment and production capacities (how many units can be produced annually). The possibility of exporting goods will depend on these questions. Indeed, in the presence of sufficient resources, technology exports are seen much more profitable for the Russian economy.
And what do you think, does this development have a future?
