The Pizza Hut pizzeria network in Russia is waiting for reorganization and rebranding, and the result of these processes is not yet entirely clear, as well as the prospects of the company.
The other day, the company has changed a franchise operator. The brand itself belongs to the American holding Yum! Brands. For a long time he was dissatisfied with the activities of restaurants under this brand in Russia and tried to get rid of them. Until recently, the Polish company AMREST, which also wished to completely leave the domestic market, was the operator of the Russian franchise of the brand.
Now the owner of the Russian part of the network has become a certain company Noah-M, founded by the top managers of the Rostik group, which owns restaurants Il Patio, Sushi Planet, T.G.I. Friday’s.
They intend to replace the name, logo and solve the old problems of the network in Russia. The Russian business for which, on the contrary, the domestic market was extremely important went in a similar way, was extremely important, but this part of the business will be managed by the Russian owner, and McDonald's will be able to redeem the Russian branches back for 15 years.
However, Pizza Hut was less fortunate. Its financial indicators in Russia were far from ideal. Under this brand, about 70 pizzerias in different cities in the Fast Food category and food food worked in the country.
The Poles owned a franchise for nearly 4 years. 39 points of the network developed in franchising, and the rest were controlled by Amrest.
The revenue of the Polish part of the network in Russia last year fell by 25% - up to 362 million rubles. Almost half of them were recognized as clean losses. The profit was the minimum number of establishments. Negotiations on a decrease in the cost of rent were unsuccessfully, although somewhere it was possible to achieve discounts, for example, in Moscow, which allowed to recoup a particular institution.
Now Pizza Hut is waiting for a new rebranding. The amount of the transaction is not specified, but could amount to approximately 300 million rubles. So many Russian establishments and rights are worth for the remaining term of rent of their premises.
The company will no longer be able to find a new partner for pizzeria in Europe or the United States. World pizzeria brands are controlled from the United States, and contracts with Russian counterparties will not yet be concluded.
Against this background, the Russian network "Dodo", appearing in many significant cities.
