Last weekend at Tverskaya in Moscow, the grand opening of the new fast food network, created on the basis of Russian McDonald's establishments, took place.
The American company left Russia, although he has an option to return Russian restaurants for 15 years at a market price.
In the coming months throughout Russia, the points of the former McDonald's in the amount of 850 pieces will open again. A few dozen restaurants working in the franchise will stop their work until they agree with the company of the new business owner - Alexander Govor.
They are ready to allow them to continue work under the new brand of the enterprise.
At the same time, McDonald’s restaurants at airports and at the stations of Moscow and St. Petersburg have an exclusive contract and will be able to work under the American brand until the end of 2022.
Further, the new owner plans to open several dozen points in the Moscow region and other cities of Russia to bring their total number of up to 1000 restaurants.
The amount of the transaction with McDonald's was not called, although the buyer denies that it was 1 ruble or other cosmetic amount. There is no doubt that the business was purchased with a significant discount.
The networks managed to save almost all suppliers of products and semi-finished products, although the prices for positions in the menu still rose. On average, 10-15 rubles.
Free potatoes began to be sold in white packaging, all the elements of the McDonald's corporate style were removed from the restaurants, and the logo was replaced with two sticks of potatoes and a point symbolizing a burger, a drop of sauce or a reference to the name at the same time. At the same time, they have already found the similarity of the logo with a European company that produces animal feed.
Such positions as Big Mack, Big Teist, Makflurry, Happy Mil disappeared from the menu, and the taste of the rest has not changed. Coca-Cola temporarily continues to be served, but soon it will be replaced by ice cream with Russian analogues.
The main dispute arose due to the name. In the Far East was the Russian network of Fast-Food kiosks with the name "Food and Point", which was about to make a claim to the new name of the Russian network. If the parties do not reach a settlement agreement, then the name will have to be changed that company that chose it later.
