Xiaomi 12 Ultra cooperation with Leica premium and liquid camera
- Jun 05
Hello Zen!
Rumors of cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica have been going on the network for more than a month: Huawei communications and the legendary German company are torn, and Xiaomi should not miss a chance for an additional popularization of its smartphones. We all understand that the main goal of the merger of the skills of two brands is marketing, and after - innovation, refinement of technology and so on.
A similar step for Xiaomi will definitely not be superfluous - Mattias Harsh, CEO of the German Leica, officially stated that he expects collaboration with Xiaomi, and for this both brands will use advanced technologies, and the result of this may become the beginning of a new era of mobile photographs ... It’s really worth expecting any results, except for beautiful words - an example in the person of Huawei P30 Pro, who at one time left no chance to competitors, “brought” Leica to the mobile market in the best light.
The first smartphone presented in the cooperation of Chinese and German companies will be Xiaomi 12 Ultra: "mastodons" - all the best. Leica will work in the smartphone camera as digital processing and optics - I foresee the highest ratings issued by the DXOMARC rating, and they can be quite well -deserved (although the Xiaomi processing algorithms still leave much to be desired). But whether Xiaomi 12 Ultra can compete with other flagships (and especially with iPhone 13) in the shooting of a video - a big question.
According to preliminary information from Letsgodigital, the smartphone will receive a large display (possibly 6.8-inch), the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 platform, a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging (up to 150 watts), as well as the main block of cameras, consisting of four models . According to information from other informants, one of the cameras will be a finalized module with a “liquid” lens that can perform different functions at the same focal distance - in the case of Mi Mix Fold, the lens was used in a telephoto -small module.
No "hidden front -line" in the smartphone is expected - the camera, judging by the renders, will be located in the center in the form of a cutout, right under the upper frame of the display. The smartphone case will receive at least three executions of the back cover - from ceramics, glass and leather with a texture, like what we saw in Xiaomi Mi 11. The smartphone will definitely not be small - the Ultra line was never intended as compact. And about the display on the back, apparently, you can forget - a huge block of cameras, depicted on the same renders, will simply not leave him a place.
Officially, the smartphone will be announced in July this year.
