AMD creates an exclusive Ryzen Pro processor line that uses Microsoft Pluton security chip. These chips are made specifically for some PC manufacturers, for example, Lenovo. But it seems that Microsoft chip not only increases the safety of the new processor, but also limits its use only by the Windows operating system.
It seems that Pluton chip does not trust any bootages except Microsoft. There are problems with drivers that do not use UEFI protective keys.
In other words, an attempt to install any operating system different from Windows on a computer with such a processor will end in failure.
Matthew Garrett came to the conclusion that Ryzen Pro with Pluton does not provide any additional security. These processors from AMD simply make it difficult for users to install any OS except Windows. But fortunately, Pluton can be disabled in the UEFI settings!
