Bosch has been a leader in the household appliance market for a long time. And these are not just words: statistics show that Bosch has been choosing most customers since 2001 around the world. This means that the company really has established itself in the household appliances market. But this is not the only area where Bosch is pushed by the production of high -quality products. And initially the company generally repaired car engines.
Today I will tell you how Bosch moved from the repair of engines to the production of a huge assortment of household appliances and equipment and how this company developed.
The creator of the future of the world -famous brand of equipment was born in 1861 in Germany, in a small town called Albek. The name of this young man Robert August Bosh. He was born in the family of a wealthy peasant and from childhood loved accurate sciences. Father saw in Robert the future priest, teacher or pharmacist. However, accurate sciences were much more interesting to the young man.
Robert against the will of his parents became an electrical engineer and went to the United States to study and learn the latest developments in electrical engineering. And this young man was very lucky: he managed to learn from the most famous electromechanical scientist Thomas Edison. The talented scientist supported Robert's desire to develop and passed him many necessary knowledge. Bosch returned to his homeland in 1886 and himself founded a small workshop in Stuttgart.
Then it was precisely small workshops that were often brought to the repair of mechanisms that were often brought to repair. Bosch often repaired cars of cars and, since he was well versed in electrical engineering, even engaged in their improvement. So, it was Robert that invented the low -voltage magneto, which G. Daimler then actively used in his cars. This was the reason for the active development of the Bosch enterprise.
Robert's company quickly gained popularity and at the beginning of the twentieth century began production of engines for many car concerts in the USA and in Europe. In addition to engines, Bosch then produced other automobile components: lighting devices, various sensors and counters. By the 1910s, the company was already the most successful business throughout Germany. And, interestingly, Robert Bosch was a very progressive boss: in 1906, an eight-hour working day was installed at his enterprise, and in 1910 he introduced a reduced working day on Saturday on Saturday .
After the outbreak of World War I, Bosch had huge problems. The fact is that even then production was dispersed in several plants, some of which were not located in Germany. And after the war, only those enterprises that were located in the country remained in the ownership of the company. This led to a sharp fall in income and difficulties with repeated business development. Therefore, the company changed the main assortment and began to produce household appliances. This, together with the reorganization of production, allowed the company to increase income and become really known in the massage.
But for a long time the company's development did not last. With the advent of the National Socialist regime and the beginning of hostilities, the development of the company was suspended and resumed only after the end of World War II.
Already in the 50s, Bosch entered the markets again with a huge assortment of household appliances. Many goods were produced abroad: in India, Brazil, Australia. Despite the shaky position, the brand quickly established the supply of goods to many countries of the world and began to actively expand the assortment, and this led to the rapid restoration of its position in the household appliance market.
Not only the expansion of the assortment of household appliances, but also the development in other areas of technology helped Bosch become a giant of the market around the world. Now the company operates in four directions: the brand produces equipment for cars, household appliances, communication devices and means of production. The company has about 440 subsidiaries in 60 countries. Thanks to the low price and worthy quality of the technique, the brand has earned its popularity and continues to maintain the glory of a worthy manufacturer of household appliances and components for production.
