Having begun its path of research and experiments in the early 80s of the XX century, Stone Island does not stop in its desire for innovation today, annually presenting the public its own developments and achievements in light industry.
A series of prototypes Research_series, which appeared in 2016 became a kind of platform in which Stone Island implements its most daring ideas in the field of technological fabrics.
In 2022, the Italian innovators united with the Kevlar team and represents its sixth part of Research_Series, which is a short Fishtail park (a fleet with a fish tail), made of innovative fabric, developed together with the Kevlar® trademark.
Basically, the new fabric contains Kevlar® fibers, which have a unique combination of high strength, heat resistance and shock viscosity. The “Strech Broken” technology creates ultra -thin yarn from Kevlar® fibers, which is later coated with cotton using Dévoré printing technology.
The cotton yarn is broken down, as a result of which a continuous pattern is created that reveals the yellow Kevlar® yellow threads. Then the resulting canvas passes the final stage of formation, in the form of processing with a textured resin with a water -repellent coating that does not contain perfo -rounder.
It is interesting how the new material will manifest itself when wearing, how long it will be and whether it will correspond to the declared characteristics. The line of prototypes in the Stone Island is a good marketing tool that creates a plentiful amount of infoshum and attracts new consumers, but not every release turns out to be successful, as it happened with the previous series Prototype Research_series 05. Let's see what reviews the presented prototype will gather.
Like the previous Prototype Research_series, the model is released by strictly limited edition and will go on sale only on the official website of Stoneisland.com on Tuesday, July 12.
