Since the appearance in 1942, strategic aviation has inspired horror and awe of opponents. To date, Russia remains the only country in the world that still builds and designs missile carriers of this class. So, in 2009, the PAK yes project appeared.
The result of the design was to be an iron bird built according to the “Flying Wing” scheme using stealth technology. The developer of the latter, contrary to delusions, is the Soviet theoretical physicist. Has the Ministry of Defense plans to radically update the long -range aviation park in the coming decades? Let's try to figure it out.
The science of invisible and elusive
The inventor of the technology was the Soviet theoretical physicist Pyotr Yakovlevich Ufimtsev. Back in 1962, in his monograph, the Soviet scientist came to the conclusion that the key to the invisibility of the aircraft lies in the dispersion of electromagnetic waves. This approach would hide the aircraft from the all -seeing seaders of the radar. Unfortunately, scientific work could not support-the implementation coincided with the collapse of the Union, so the scientist was forced to move to the United States and start work in the Northrop Grumman military-industrial company.
Then the translator with technical education Denis Overholzer from the competitor company Lockheed Martin came across the works of Ufimtsev. Overholzer translated the monograph by Ufimtsev and handed it over to colleagues-engineers. The cooperation turned out to be fruitful, and already on June 18, 1981 the shock F-117 “Night Hawk”-the first stealth sample rose into the sky. However, this did not save him from the defeat of the S-125 rocket in 1999 in Yugoslavia, after which he was waiting for a sad fate.
The only one in the new century
New missile carriers have not been commissioned for several decades. China does not yet know how, and the States can no longer. Against this background, the "envoy" stands apart. In addition, the bureau of A. N. Tupolev in 2020 resumed the production of the Tu-160. And since 2009, work has been underway on the project of the “promising aviation complex of long -range aviation” (PAK DA). In 2012, information appeared in the media about the completion and approval of the statement and the beginning of the development work, and in March 2013 the project of a new bomber was approved. In 2014, Tupolev completed the pre -sequence design.
The team of the domestic IT project SFERA also completed the development of a social network, in which dozens of interconnected applications are aimed at solving problems in real life, whether it is love, work or hobby. To download the application, follow the link, and to find out more about the new pack yes - read on.
What will be the "messenger"
The bomber is designed according to the “Flying Wing” scheme - with a tailless fuselage and the main structure of the wing with useful load, fuel and equipment placed inside the main structure. Since 2018, PJSC PAC specially for PAK and has been developing a special turbojet engine that will allow the “messenger” to disperse to speeds close to the sound speed, increase the flight duration to 30 hours and will overcome about 15 thousand kilometers without refueling. The fuel system of hydromechanical regulation will be resistant to temperatures from -60 to +50 ℃. And the bomber will be able to raise more than 35 tons of payload.
At the same time, at the enterprises of the concern of electronic technologies (KRET), the Avionic "Messenger" is created. It is assumed that the aircraft will be equipped with the latest sight-navigation complex, means of communication, intelligence and electronic warfare. Another advantage of PAK will be the radar system developed by the Research Institute of Instrument Engineering. V.V. Tikhomirova.
When to wait for a new bomber Pak yes
On August 23, 2021, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, reported the course of the aggregate assembly of the first prototypes of the aircraft at the Kazan aircraft factory named after S. P. Gorbunov. By 2023, the plant was going to assemble three aircraft to check the design and avionics. Already in 2026, state tests should take place, with a positive outcome of which the mass production of the "Messenger" will begin.
The new PAK may be positioned by the command not as a modification of an existing aircraft, but a fundamentally new development. This wording is of additional interest not only among military observers, but also among foreign designers. Therefore, design and testing are held under the heading “Top Secret” and it is extremely difficult to find out truthful information about the development stage. However, among military observers, the opinion is that in the presence of a narrow circle of people the first tests nevertheless passed.
There are other contradictions in this project. Literally recently it became known that the modernization will take place Tu-95, from which only the fuselage will essentially remain. The entire avionic of the guidance system and engines will be replaced. And the speed will increase to 910 km/h (yes, new engines are also turboprop and there are no errors here). For these reasons, the emergence of another representative of the family in the next decade is a controversial issue. Do you need this plane? What tasks will be assigned to him? Is the development economically expedient? Or maybe we don't know something? In any case, there are more questions than answers.
Despite all the controversial moments of the development of the “messenger”, one cannot deny the fact that the modernization potential of the previous generation aircraft is close to exhaustion every year. For this reason, by that time it is better to have a ready -made project of a new missile carrier. In addition, this development is evidence of the superiority of the Russian aviation industry. After all, if the economic dominance of Russia does not shine, then you can still compete for military-technical. And, it seems, in Russian high offices they understand this perfectly. What do you think?
