Excavations by scientists in Egypt are leading to a revision of the history of the complex of temples of the god Montu

An Egyptian-Chinese archaeological mission working at the Karnak temple complex has discovered a previously unrecorded “sacred lake” in a sector dedicated to the god Mont.

As the expedition members reported, the artificial reservoir is located to the west of the temple of Maat - the goddess of truth, justice and cosmic order - and covers an area of ​​more than 50 square meters.

In addition to the lake, archaeologists made other important finds.
