The State Duma proposed tagging content on the Internet created by people without AI
It is necessary to introduce labeling for images and videos created exclusively by humans, without the use of neural networks, said Anton Gorelkin, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
Gorelkin said that instead of mandatory labeling of AI content, platforms should give authors the opportunity to mark materials created without neural generation with a special icon.
In his opinion, it is precisely this kind of content that can undergo additional verification and pre-moderation for the absence of artificial intelligence, while all other unlabeled content can be considered potentially unsafe by default.
“I suggested that my colleagues think about the idea that I already talked about here: to label not AI content, but those videos and images that were completely created by humans, without the use of neurogeneration,” Gorelkin wrote.
